The temples in the Northern provinces were basically built long before the colonial invading from the West to destroy their peaceful and rich life of Lanna cultures; another word, during the independent time of the Lanna Kingdom. The influence traces of Lanna cultures remain quite strongly through the architecture of the temples, and through the people of origination of the Lanna Kingdom. The temples in the Central, the Eastern and the Western provinces have the unique architecture which are dominantly distinguished them from any cultural influences as seen in the north and northeast, as well as any other parts in the world. They are hundreds of temple to visit in Thailand but the very popular and famous temples but easy to visit are those in Bangkok and the nearby area. They are such as, Wat Pra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Arunrajwararam, Wat Rakang, Wat Raj-naddarham, and Wat Trimitr, etc. Each of them has its own beautiful and unique architects that fascinate visitors. Some temple becomes one of the World Heritage, announced by UNESCO.
Not only places for unique architecture, cultures and beliefs, the visitors can also roam around the town enjoy Thai style shopping in Bangkok at Yaowarat China town, or at Jatujak Market-the amazing weekend shopping market. Or else, the visitors can also make a short visit i.e. one or two days, to appreciate the old time life of Thai people which remains in some parts of the country. Places to visit here are such as Ampawa village in Samutsakorn Province, Damnoen-saduak Floating market in Ratchaburi Province, Kaw Kred in Nonthaburi Province, etc. These places are not far to travel from Bangkok.
For those who love the sea, Southern part of Thailand offers such romantic scenes of the Andaman Sea and the South China Sea of the Gulf of Thailand to dive for. The white long beaches, spots for deep sea diving, or for the shallow snorkeling, from the first point to the southern provinces, lie readily for visitors to start exploring. That is, starting from Chumporn Province down south to Suratthani, Songkhla, Trang, Krabi, Pangnga and Phuket are those fame provinces for those enjoying the scenery of the clear blue sea and sky.
So, at one stop as visitors, all gracious and unique scenes of the country are easily grabbed while visiting Thailand. What more will you think to dream for if not visiting Thailand?
