During the Second World War, about 90,000 Asian workers were being killed by the Japanese during the construction of this bridge. Although this location is famous for this bridge, it’s actually the Kwai Yai River which is the center of attraction of this location. The natural beauty of this location is simply mind blowing and a visitor needs to spend 2 hours if he/she wishes to have a trip from one side of the river to the other by boat.
Temples are the place where the Buddhists say their prayers. All over the Kanchanaburi city, a number of wonderful temples are there. The Kuan Yum, Wat Tham Sua, Wat Ban Tham are some of the famous temples of this city decorated with the images of Buddhism.
The Erawan waterfall within the national park of Kanchanaburi is one of exciting places for visiting. This waterfall is the largest waterfall in Thailand and might be the fourth/fifth largest waterfalls all over the world. The entrance fee to enter the park is only 200 Baht and if any visitors want to enter with a motorbike, he needs to pay 20 Baht more. The Erawan waterfall has seven tiers and each of the tires is excellent and suitable for swimming. Most of the visitors are found to swim with the tires of this waterfall. The scenery around the waterfall is also excellent.
The famous Taweechai Elephant camp in Thailand is located within the Kanchanaburi city. Within this camp, there are about 30 elephants. One visitor can get the facilities like elephant rides, bamboo rafting, taking a bath with the elephants ( children are preferable). Besides, the elephants are trained in a special way. So different types of elephant games can also be seen while visiting that location.

The transportation facilities of Kanchanaburi with the other province are excellent. One can visit the locations of that city by bus, trains, cars, minibuses and taxi.
